Description[edit]
The Soan River cuts through a high mountain range, with a maximum alltitude of 764 meters on the Chirah side, which is often called the Chirah hill and 850 meters on the Pharwala side, it is a wonderful natural phenomenon also called Soan Cut, The mountain has a steep and tall 175 meters drop down to the river within 300 Meters, the steepness often causes landslides when it rains. No stream can cut such a high mountain range, which proves that the Soan was there before the formation of this range. And as the mountain rose through millions of years, the stream continued its path by cutting the rising mountain, it is also a tourist attraction as people who visit Pharwala are able to climb a small nearby hill to be able to see the whole pass
