Societies Committee (SocCom)[edit]
Societies Committee otherwise known as SocCom is a student-led Working Committee at the University Of Sheffields' Students Union elected by all full members of the Students’ Union [1][2].
Societies Committee exists to support, promote, develop, and represent all societies and committees at Sheffield Students' Union. Societies Committee has a range of roles and responsibilities they manage funding pots for societies, manage and support the creation of new societies, oversee society storage (SHED), and run two major events Dance Your Socs Off (DYSO) in semester one and the Activities Awards in semester two, SocCom has an active presence at Society Fairs and events throughout the academic year [1][2].

Societies Committee, has twenty-one roles available, with four core roles: Chair, Secretary, Treasurer and Inclusions Officer, and seventeen none-core roles [2]. Members are elected by all full members of the Students’ Union at the SocCom Annual General Meeting [2]
