SofaScore is a sports data company based in Zagreb, Croatia..[1]. The company primarily offers live scores services through its website and mobile application. The company was founded in 2010 and was eventually renamed SofaScore in 2012[2][3]

SofaScore was established in March 2010 by the co-founders Ivan Bešlić and Zlatko Hrkać as a live scores website..[4][2][3][5]. After creating a mobile application in 2011, the organization was eventually renamed and branded “SofaScore” a year later, at the eve of the UEFA EURO 2012[3][5]
In 2014, SofaScore expanded its domain of service from live scores to sports data analysis..[4][6], becoming a client of the British sports analytics company Opta Sports[6]

Academy[edit]
In 2016, SofaScore started a cooperation with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing in Zagreb[7], branded “SofaScore Academy”.
Editor[edit]
Funded by the European Regional Development Fund, in 2019 SofaScore started a project aimed at the improvement of the coverage of the amateur level of sports, SofaScore Editor[5][8].
