Softening of Evil Hearts is a Marian apparition[1]. ru:Умягчение злых сердец In bylichka and spiritual verses, Paraskeva Friday complains that she is not honored by not observing the prohibition on Fridays – they prick her with spindles, spin her hair, clog her eyes Kostrakostra. According to beliefs, Paraskeva Friday is depicted on icons with spokes or spindles sticking out of her chest (cf. images of Seven-Strength Icon , Softening of Evil Hearts).[1]
