Plot

Bhargav is an employee in a software engineering company in Hyderabad. His company announces a US onsite job for the year’s best performer, and from that day, he sets the goal to achieve the award and go to America, which haunts his dreams every day. Bhargav, being third in the race for best performer, tries to divert the toppers so that he can be placed first, especially Pradeep, who is being diverted to fall in love with Yaksha, and he acts as a love guru for him. Yaksha is their team leader who treats Bhargav as a nuisance and useless, always screaming at him for everything; nobody in the office knows why there is a sour relationship between them.

Bhargav stays in a flat along with Swami, a Tamil guy who is endlessly searching for a job. Meanwhile, two of his jobless friends from his village also visit and settle in his room. They depend entirely on him. Bhargav takes responsibility and guides them in every step of the way to get them jobs, but they perform poorly in all interviews they attend. Bhargav is busy with his ending project, as appraisals are nearing, which decides the best performer. Pradeep, who is completely diverted from the thought of the award, gets crazy for Yaksha and decides to propose to her on Bhargav’s advice. One day, in the office, accompanying Bhargav, Pradeep proposes to Yaksha, she becomes furious and slaps Bhargav and leaves the area. No one understands why she slapped Bhargav while Pradeep proposed to her. The truth is Bhargav is Yaksha’s husband, and Pradeep and his other friends are shocked to hear this.

Bhargav narrates the flashback… how it all happened. While he was searching for jobs in the city, he comes across a beautiful girl, Yaksha, working in a Software Company at Hi-tech city, and gets attracted to her. To impress and get her attention, he falsely claims that he works for Infosys and, through various means, gets closer to her. Though Yaksha appears joyful to everyone in the office and with her friends, she has a sad and painful situation at home. She is tired of her stepmother, who controls her father in every way, and her father is like a personal assistant to her, nodding to everything she says. This woman ill-treats Yaksha and is jealous of her job because it gives her an opportunity to be self-dependent. As a whole, Yaksha is going through painful emotions, and even her long-time dream to go to the America and pursue her career was shattered due to her stepmother not cooperating with her visa documents.

The friendship with Bhargav lightened her heart a bit, and slowly their friendship blossoms into love. One day, to Yaksha’s surprise, her stepmother arranges a wedding proposal with her relative. When Yaksha denies her stepmother’s proposal, she locks her up and tries to forcefully arrange it. After Yaksha fails to make them understand, she escapes through the back door and calls Bhargav to reach the registration office on the phone and asks him to marry her without wasting time. Bhargav was shocked by her decision, for which he was not prepared. His interest was to get a job and settle first, and he was guilty about his lie, planning to cover it up over time, but her emotional decision entangles him into marrying her.

Yaksha is glad that she has avenged her stepmother and also got the man she admired. She thinks she can go to America with him and fulfil her dreams of pursuing higher studies, but her joy didn’t last long. Her thrill disappeared when she discovered that Bhargav was a liar, jobless, and didn’t even have a decent place to stay. Her heart sinks for being cheated. “You’ll never see me again,” she says and disappears from his life.

Bhargav feels guilty for all his actions and wants to find her and convince her but couldn’t. After a few months, while Bhargav visits Brainwave informatics to attend a job interview, he finds Yaksha working as a team leader in the company. Somehow, he gets a job into the company with fake experience and joins under Yaksha’s team. Fortunately, when their company announces a U.S. onsite job for the best performer, Bhargav wants to grab this opportunity to prove himself to Yaksha and take her to America to fulfil her dream. When all of his friends hear the story from Bhargav, they feel sorry for him, and everyone wishes the couple to reunite. Pradeep decides to sacrifice his best performer award to him.

In Bhargav’s office, the whole team works hard to complete their project, and with one day left to submit, the project code is shockingly deleted from Bhargav’s login. This upsets and angers the management, and everyone, including the CEO, fires Bhargav for his violation. The truth is the vice president of the company joins hands with a competitor called GX Company. On their instructions, he deletes the code of the final project. Late in the office, while the vice president is having a secret conversation with GX Company, Yaksha overhears and tries to confront his actions. The vice-president gets mad and wants to get rid of her. Meanwhile, Bhargav arrives in time, fights with him, and saves her. Finally, this episode helps Bhargav and Yaksha get closer. With the help of his friends, Bhargav works all night and restores the code and submits the project on time. The company acknowledges the efforts of Yaksha’s team, especially Bhargav. He promises jobs for all his friends in the company, including Swamy, who had already packed his luggage to go to Chennai. Yaksha and Bhargav are back on track again…

Production

Director Uma Shankar initially planned to cast actor Nithiin and Rashmika Mandanna, thinking both would be a perfect pair. However, as the director was new and the production house, Silver Pixel Media, was not ready to offer high remuneration, the project with them was cancelled. The director went for Shreeram, who had done three films as a hero, and actress Bhawana for the female lead role, who is based in Mumbai and trained at the Anupam Kher film institute.

Principal photography began in 2019, but due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the shooting got delayed. Filming was done partly in Ramoji film city, a few scenes in Raheja Mindspace, and other scenes were shot in and around Hyderabad.
