Solar do Ribeirinho
Solar do Ribeirinho is a historic house located in the Portuguese village of Midões, Tabua (Coimbra, Portugal). It was built in the late 1700s and occupied by the lord of manor, Roque Ribeiro de Abranches Castelo-Branco, who was born in the same village and was granted the title 'Viscount of Midões' in the year of 1837 by D. Maria II for his fight for liberal causes. He would later be known as the 1st Viscount of Midões after the same title was granted to his son, Dr. César Ribeiro de Abranches Castelo-Branco, who was granted the title, the '2nd Visount of Midões'. The latter who would later go on to commission the iconic palace bordering his father's property known as Palácio de Midões.[1][2]
