Solo is a documentary (film on art, film on music) about Polish composer Boguslaw Schaeffer.

Production and filming[edit]
The idea to make a new film about Schaeffer came from Krystyna Gierłowska and Marek Frąckowiak. After four years of collecting budget and crew, the production started in 2007, with experienced Paweł Mantorski as a producer and Maciej Pisarek as a director and writer. Eleven days shooting started in spring and ended in autumn, including locations in Cracow, Salzburg and Lviv.
Reception and awards[edit]
The film gained generally a good reception and was selected to many festivals in US, Canada, Great Britain, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland. After Festival International du Film sur l'Art, Solo along with other awarded films had a tour through cultural centres of America and Europe. Its final was a screening in Michel Laclotte Auditorium, in Louvre's pyramid, in January 2010. During and after the main promotion period Solo was broadcated on tv. Important awards:

- 2008 - Tercer Ojo Award, Docupolis, Barcelona[2]
