Solstice Studios is an American film production and distribution company, founded in October 2018 by Mark Gill, Andrew Gunn, Guy Botham, and Vincent Bruzzese. The company is focused on mid-budget movies for wide release.
History[edit]
Solstice Studios was launched with $400 million in capitalization with $150 million raised through Ingenious Media.[1] The studio will be involved with fully financing, producing, developing, selling internationally, and distributing feature films in the U.S. on a wide-release basis. Their goal is to produce 3-5 movies a year for a global audience in the $30-80 million range, acquiring 2-4 titles a year.
The executive team includes David Singh, Brian Dailey, Evelyn Labonte, and Fernando Montero.[2]
The company attended their first Toronto International Film Festival in 2019 with the intention of purchasing films for distribution.[3]
Films[edit]
The studio's first production will be Unhinged starring Russell Crowe, Caren Pistorius,[4] and Gabriel Bateman with a script by Carl Ellsworth The film is directed by Derrick Borte and starts production July 15th in New Orleans.
Other films in development are Split Second,[5] Manhunt,[6] and Possession: A Love Story.[7]
