Something Like Gold is a 2023 Nigerian movie produced by Sandra Okunzuwa and directed by Kayode Kasum.[2] It was listed among the highest grossing romantic Nollywood drama in 2023.[3]

Cast[edit]

Plot[edit]

The plot of the movie portrays the life of Tamara (Sandra Okunzuwa) who was raised with a silver spoon. She faced the wicked side of humanity when her father’s wealth was ceased plus the heartbreak she went after she was abandoned on the altar by her fiancé (Timini Egbuson). She was rescued by her maid Mayowa (Mercy Johnson Okojie) of whom she later found love after her past predicaments.

Receptions and critic reviews[edit]

A Nigerian new source, Kemi Filani described the movie as "A tale of love and redemption."[4] In November 2023, Cinema Exhibitors Association of Nigeria (CEAN) placed the movie at the 11th spot on the Top 20 Nigerian Box Office Charts.[5] TheCable wrote;

Nollywood’s ‘Something Like Gold’ and Hollywood’s ‘A Haunting In Venice’ are some movies TheCable Lifestyle recommends for you to watch in the cinema or on streamers like Netflix this weekend.
