"Song For Hope", also referred to as Song Of Hope, is a trumpet feature piece written by Peter Meechan. It was written for Ryan Anthony and his organization Cancer Blows. The song was composed in 2015 and features one, two, or three trumpet soloists. It is played with a wind band, brass ensemble, or symphony orchestra.[2]
World Band Performance[edit]
After Ryan Anthony died in June 2020 [3], a virtual recording of Song For Hope was made. Ryan Anthony had the goal of creating a recording of people of all skills around the world playing the piece but died before achieving this. The recording was added to YouTube and features 6 year olds up to 93 year olds and beginners up to Grammy winning professionals[4]
Song For Hope Movie[edit]
A documentary about the life of Ryan Anthony is being produced named after the song. The movie plans to teach about the power of art to inspire, motivate, and unite people. It is being produced by Tara Wyatt and Jens Lindemann and written by Luke Wyatt. The movie is planned to debut at film festivals then to be added to streaming services.[5]
