Song Xiangqian
Song Xiangqian (Chinese name: 宋向前, born in 1971) is a Chinese investor and a founding partner, chairman, and managing director of Harvest Capital, a private equity firm specializing in investments in China's consumer and modern services sector. Song has led investments in consumer companies such as Dongpeng Beverage, Qia Qia Food, and Lao Xiang Ji.[1] [2]
Early Life and Education
Song was born in 1971 in China. He holds an EMBA from the PBC School of Finance and is a Ph.D. candidate at Tsinghua University. He also has a senior business administration doctorate from the University of Minnesota. He also holds a senior business administration doctorate from the University of Minnesota.[3]
Career
Before founding Harvest Capital in 2007, Song worked in senior positions within China's securities industry, including roles at Everbright Securities, Century Securities Investment Bank, Guosen Securities, and Huatai Securities, where he held the position of director and CFO.[4]
Under Song's leadership, Harvest Capital has invested in companies Eastroc Beverages, the creator of the Eastroc Super Drink, Laiyifen, Aimer Group, and Meituan.[5] The firm’s successful exit from Eastroc Beverages was notably significant in establishing its presence in the consumer retail industry.[6]

Song emphasizes long-term value creation and supports enterprises that address fundamental consumer needs in China. He advocates for patience and strategic partnership with entrepreneurs to foster sustainable growth.[7]
