Sonya from Toastville (Script error: The function "langx" does not exist.) is a Russian children's animated web series created by Dmitrii Vysotskii. It centers around a girl who discovers that her bread box can teleport her to the magical city of Toastville. Its first episode premiered on 29 February 2024.
Premise
Sonya from Toastville centers around Sonya, a 9-year-old girl who discovers that—when she arranges magnets on an old bread box in a certain way, puts pink jam on a slice of toast and takes a bite out of it—the bread box teleports her to the magical city of Toastville,[1] which is situated on Toast Land, a fictional planet that resembles a gigantic cheese sandwich and is inhabited by various anthropomorphic food items and other sapient creatures. The top side is green-colored and is inhabited by Toastians, whereas the Burnt Lands on the bottom side are dark grey-colored and inhabited by Crumbles. Toastville and the Burnt Lands are separated by a thin cheese membrane.
In each episode, Sonya visits Toast Land in search of a solution to a problem she is facing in her world. After she and her Toastian friends solve a different (in some cases, similar) problem, she returns home and makes a vlog about what she had learned that day and answers questions from her followers.

On their way to Rainbow Haven, they stop by Mr. Leetu's shop to find pink jam for Sonya. Sonya scoops up spoiled jam (which turns black) and is warned by Maya and a "mysterious someone" not to use it. Sonya refuses to heed their warnings and uses the black jam anyway, causing her and Maya to be transported into the Burnt Lands, where they find out that Mr. Leetu has been kidnapped by a group of Crumbles called Doom Stainers, who are forcing him to prepare pink jam so they can sneak into the light side of Toast Land and splatter black ooze all over Toastville. After the Mysterious Someone reminds them of black jam's unpredictable nature, Sonya pours a jar of ooze on Maya so she can approach the Doom Stainers disguised as a Crumble news reporter. With the Doom Stainers distracted, Sonya pours black jam in Mr. Leetu's pot so that the resulting mixture exhibits black jam's unpredictable nature.
