Sophia Makramati (born October 28, 1976) is a Canadian business woman and philanthropist, wife of former professional football player Clarence Seedorf.
Biography[edit]
Sophia Makramati was born in Ahvaz a city in the South of Iran. Sophia is the youngest daughter of her family. Sophia’s original name was Sepideh Makramati given after birth in Ahvaz. Her mother, that Sophia calls an angel, became widow while she was about to give birth to Sophia. Her father passed away after a severe car accident and didn’t survive the medical interventions. He was a very powerful and loved businessman in the region of Ahvaz. She has been told to have many qualities of his father in business.
At the young age she moved together with her family to Montreal, Canada. After four years, Sophia moved to Toronto where she completed the education in Finance and later she spent some time in San Diego for her financial sales management course.
At the age of 25 Sophia becomes a regional manager at TD Canada Trust, one of Canada’s most important financial institutions and was awarded for six years in a row as second best mortgage sales manager in the country. She has also pioneered, as one of the first female and youngest builders in Toronto with some of the City's most successful builders as mentors.
Other work experiences include a collaboration with companies like Rolex, Luis Vuitton, Maserati, Versace, Gucci, Porsche.
Sophia currently lives between Dubai and Toronto. She is an entrepreneur and executive partner of Seedorf Group Limited. She is also Global Ambassador for Scavia Jewelry and Goodwill Ambassador of Hothur Foundation.
Personal Life[edit]
Sophia is a mother of 2 boys Nima and Diako that she had from a previous relationship. She is married to the former professional football player Clarence Seedorf. They are both committed to social causes, organizations and activities like Unicef, Dubai Cares, Black Impact Foundation, Al Jalila Foundation to create a better world.
For decades families in Iran and kids in Africa have received her unconditional financial support enabling those Iranian families to pay for the education and food for their kids and for the African kids an academic pathway for a better future. Her Mission is to support humanity positively.
Sophia Makramati is truly passionate for fashion and luxury.
