Sophiya Anjam
Sophiya Anjam (born 27 July [when?]), is a Pakistani Radio, TV, Event Host & Social Worker. Sophiya started her career as a Radio Jockey with FM91 Pakistan in 2006 and is currently hosting 'Drive on with Sophie', the evening drive time radio show. She is also the current host of the music based TV show 'Signature Tunes with Sophiya Anjam' at PTV Home. She is also the founder of The "S" Stories e-magazine & The "S" Stories Care - a social welfare initiative. She is also the host of The "S" Stories on her Youtube channel.
Biography
Sophiya Anjam completed her schooling from Lahore Grammar School(LGS) and then her Masters in Mass Communication from Kinnaird College. She also had a 15-day training from Kromosome, a joint India-Pakistan production house based in Dubai, UAE in the summer of 2006. She has also interned at The Nation, Dawn, Evernew Concepts & HUM TV.
Radio
In 2006, Sophiya was encouraged by a friend to give an audition at FM91's headquarters in Lahore, she took to radio like a fish to water. Today, apart from hosting 'Drive On With Sophie,' four days a week, Anjam also doubles up as the station's marketing head.
Sophiya started her career as a Radio Jockey (RJ) with FM91 Pakistan & hosted the popular morning show 'Head Over Heels'. Later, she became the voice of the evening drive time show. She is currently also Lahore Station's team lead.
Television
Sophiya started her TV career in 2014 with an English-language talk show called 'Weekend World with Sophie' at PTV World in which she interviewed numerous Pakistani artists & personalities like Ali Zafar, Junaid Jamshed, Feryal Gauhar, Nayyar Ali Dada, Durdana Butt & many more.
Her current show is all about promoting Pakistani music, which includes charts, videos, performances, discussion on music happenings & chit chat with artists. She started 'Signature Tunes with Sophiya Anjam' in early 2020.

The "S" Stories
In 2018, Sophiya started her YouTube channel with an exclusive weekly show called "The S Stories" which focuses on Travel, Music, Social & Community issues that matter. Sophiya, from the very beginning of her career in the media, always wanted to incorporate humanitarian, environmental and spiritual issues, which inculcate essential components of a dynamic & prosperous society.
She saw how there was a lack of content and awareness in our society regarding issues that matter, while sadly the focus was always on sensationalizing news, copy pasting and lifestyle-based blogging, more so, without any research or aim.
She started her e-magazine with the same name, focusing on content that is substantial. In mid-2020, she started an initiative called The "S" Stories Care, to help those in need and for social welfare in Pakistan.
Humanitarian Work
Sophiya is also a Shaukat Khanum Institute Ambassador(SKIA), while also being a GoodWill Ambassador of World Wild Fund for Nature (WWF Pakistan), as well as Kaarvan Crafts Foundation. She is also the Champion of Change for The Citizen's Foundation (TCF).
Sophiya will be exploring her teaching side and collaborating with CES by LUMS for a course on Hosting, where she would be teaching hosting techniques on radio, digital & TV.
Live Events
She's been hosting events since 2007 for corporate and non-corporate brands/companies around Pakistan, ranging from private to public, interactive to non-interactive. She is a public speaker and has moderated various events in the presence of government officials, heads of states, celebrities, diplomats, businessmen, bureaucrats, army officials, foreigners and the likes.
