Soumi Saha is an Indian film writer, director, editor and producer. She is best known for her first Hindi-Bengali language feature film, Dhuusar (Grey), which had its national premier at the 10th Jagran Film Festival[1]. It has travelled to and earned accolades from various international film festivals like Lucania Film Festival, Italy [2], Winchester Film Festival, UK [3], South Europe International Film Festival, Spain [4], Queen Palm International Film Festival, USA [5], amongst others.

Life and Career[edit]

Soumi has co-directed Dhuusar with Snehashish Mondal, which is inspired by a real life incident of Sajal Barui, a convicted criminal for the murder of his family at the age of 16.[6][7]

Apart from taking care of the production design, costumes and hair & make-up of the film, she has written, co-produced, edited and acted in it.[8]
