South Park Football Club was an English association football club based at the South Park in Ilford, and sometimes referred to as the Ilford club. The club was founded in September 1867, under the captaincy of John Maslin Parker, and included five members of the Fry family. In 1868 the club had 33 members paying a subscription of 2s 6d per annum.[1] The club's first recorded match against another club was a 2-0 defeat to the Walthamstow club in January 1868[2] and last recorded match a 5-0 defeat to Forest School in March 1868.[3]
