Southern Pacific 1269 is a 0-6-0 switcher locomotive that was built in 1921 by the Baldwin Locomotive Works. The locomotive was retired in 1957 from revenue service. The locomotive was restored and returned to service in 1981; it also went to Railfair 1981 with the other engines SP 4449, UP 844, UP 3985, DR&R 8, Stephenson’s rocket, and AT&SF 5. The locomotive was at the California State Railroad Museum with SP 4449 during the 1984 World’s fair, and in 1991 the locomotive was officially retired and is now in storage for restoration.
