The Southern University Law Review is the flagship law review of Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Overview[edit]
Founded in 1974, the Southern University Law Review is a student-published scholarly journal[1], published two times per year to a widely circulated subscription list[2], with digital availability through the WESTLAW and LexisNexis electronic databases. [3] The Southern University Law Review is a reliable reference source for news outlets [4][5] for professors[6], practitioners and judges and serves as a forum for legal scholars.[7] It is listed in the Index to Legal Periodicals and Current Law Index.[8] The publication addresses current legal issues through articles submitted by Southern University law students, legal scholars and professionals. Additionally, the Law Review provides its members with the opportunity to develop their own legal writing, editing, and research skills.
The Southern University Law Review only accepts those students who have proven themselves exceptional in legal research, writing, and analysis. Accordingly, invitation to the Law Review is only extended once a year.
