SpaceX Crew-5 will be the fifth crewed operational NASA Commercial Crew flight of a Crew Dragon spacecraft. The mission is expected to launch no earlier than fall 2022. As of October 2021, two NASA astronauts have been assigned to the mission. The duo and their crewmates will join an expedition crew aboard station for a long duration stay to conduct science activities for the benefit of humanity and exploration.

Crew

NASA astronauts Nicole Mann and Josh Cassada were announced on 10 October 2021 to the crew. Mann who will be commanding the mission and Cassada who will be piloting the mission were previously assigned to missions on NASA’s Boeing Crew Flight Test and NASA’s Boeing Starliner-1 mission, respectively.[1]
