The Space Court Foundation is an American space advocacy nonprofit corporation promotes and supports space law and policy education and the rule of law. The Space Court Foundation produces educational materials and scholarship.

History[edit]

The foundation was founded in 2018 by space lawyers Nathan Johnson and Christopher Hearsey. The organization is headquartered in Sharon, Pennsylvania.

Activities[edit]

The foundation is working on an International Law Library project with the goal of creating an online archive of existing international space law. In 2020, the foundation began an online video discussion series on the Artemis Accords, with NASA and international space lawyers and diplomats discussing the impact of the recently signed, multi-state agreement to cooperate on Moon exploration. Partnerships[edit]

The Foundation has partnerships with several university law schools, including Center for Air and Space Law at the University of Mississippi School of Law, University of Nebraska College of Law, and International Institute of Air and Space Law Leiden University.

Projects[edit]

The foundation achieves its goals through administration of two main projects: Stellar Decisis, an animated video series on mock space law trials, and the Space Court Law Library Project.
