Early Life

Spencer Leagra was born on November 30, 2004, in Morristown, New Jersey. In 2005, he moved to North Carolina. He began playing video games at an early age, first on a Wii around 2009. He used an Xbox 360 in the 2010s and his favorite game, Forza Horizon, helped inspire his love for video games, art, and music. He would also play with his parent's Yamaha DGX-202 electric piano at a young age. In August 2015, he began a YouTube channel. In March 2016, he decided to redo his channel, creating an intro theme using a desktop application called Music Maker Jam. He later found a mobile app version of Music Maker Jam, which he liked, and began using the platform to create music. From 2016 to 2018 he regularly used Music Maker Jam.

In January 2018, Spencer got his first desktop computer. Later in 2018, he started using FL Studio to compose music. In July 2019, he purchased an Alesis V25 MIDI Keyboard, which contained a copy of Ableton Live 10 Lite. He then switched over to using Ableton Live 10 Lite from then on. On September 28, 2019, he released Sunset, the first song that would end up on his first album, to YouTube. On December 25, 2019, he received a Behringer Deepmind 12 synthesizer as a Christmas present. From then on he began using the DM12 in his songs. He continued making music into 2020 and releasing it to YouTube, continuing into 2021.

On May 10, 2021, he released his first album, Neon Age, under the artist name Tetrafox, to streaming services. The album was a chronological compilation of all of his synthwave and retrowave songs he released on YouTube from September 28, 2019 to 2021, totaling 19 songs. On July 22, 2021, he released his second album, Reflections, to streaming services. His song Animus later became his most popular song released. On September 5, 2021, he purchased his first vintage synthesizer, a 1988 Roland D-20. He made a third album solely using the synthesizer, from October 2, 2021, to May 21, 2022. On November 1, 2021, he released his first single, Lakes, to streaming services. On September 1, 2022, he released his second single and first content for 2022, called Monza, which came from his third album. On August 1, 2022, he bought his second vintage keyboard, a 1988 Ensoniq EPS. On September 26, 2022, he received a Yamaha DX7 as a gift.

On November 29, 2022, he released his third album, Terzo, to streaming services.

On May 25, 2023, he graduated from high school. He later was featured on Radio Stad Den Haag in June 2023, where Monza and The Night were played live. On October 27, 2023, his fourth album, Tetra, was released to streaming services. His collaboration with Styloo, Words From Me, debuted on Radio Stad Den Haag on October 31.

On November 28, 2024, his fourth album, Sequences, was released to streaming services, featuring a collaboration with popular Italo-Disco artist Roubix. On October 2, 2025, he released his fifth album, Quasar.
