Spencer Williams Rothbell (born January 4, 1990) is an American writer and voice actor who replaced Skyler Page as the voice of Clarence in the television series of the same name after Page got fired from Cartoon Network Studios for sexual harassment allegations.[1]
Life and career[edit]
Born in Denville, New Jersey on January 4, 1990 as Spencer Williams Rothbell and grew up in Vermont, he took classes with an improv group named as "The ChuckCharlies" in Chicago. He attended the California Institute of the Arts. He also studied Experimental Animation where he would do dumb prank calls on other people for fun.
Rothbell worked on the American television Cartoon Network series titled Clarence, created by Skyler Page.[2] Rothbell took over as the voice of Clarence after Page was fired from Cartoon Network Studios because of sexual harassment allegations from 2015 until it's cancellation in 2018.[3][4] During the duration of Clarence, Rothbell voiced numerous characters and was also the writer and head of story. Rothbell also owns a website.[5] In 2019, Rothbell became one of the lead roles for Colin on the animated series Twelve Forever, also voicing various characters on the show. He also served as the writer. Rothbell was also the writer for the 2019 video game Jest to Impress Jesus.
In Victor & Valentino, Rothbell provided the voices for Miguelito and Trader Josefino, as well as some of the additional voices.
