Srđan Radosavljević (Srdjan Radosaljevic, born November 29 1965 in Belgrade) is a Serbian-English film director, screenwriter and executive producer.
Biography[edit]
At the age of nine, fascinated by the art of film, he constantly attended film screenings that became his playground. Seemingly neglecting all other obligations imposed on him by his parents and surroundings, he turned to his creative side. His mother Vera's plan for him to become a lawyer or an architect, as a successful banker, was short-lived.
At the age of barely 22, he seized his first opportunity and left Serbia.
Srdjan arrived in London in May 1989, where he met Turkish director and advertiser Alinur Velidedeoglu (Saatchi & Saatchi) who became his mentor. Using his connections with Alinur, Srdjan worked for Ron Bareham Productions (London) for several years, learning about the film industry through his job. He invested all the money he earned into education at film schools in London and New York.
During 1996-1998, while studying at the New York Film Academy, Srdjan was offered jobs in New York by several production companies. However, he decided to return to London and continue his film career there.
Srdjan worked on several independent film projects. In 1999, he secured funding for the realization and direction of his short fiction film "Third Reeding" [1] through a regional competition organized by Connections Productions, London [2]. For the first time, his own work received regional distribution in the United Kingdom.
In 2001, he became the founder and director of the "Silver Link" studio, teaching young talents the acting methods of Stanislavski.
His paths crossed with Sakhninder Samra (Sam), with whom he founded the production company "Dizzy Desire" Ltd. in London in 2008. After establishing the company, Srđan worked on the development of several different feature film scripts, successfully selling them to film studios in the UK in 2018.
In 2008 he was the author of the project and the director of the promotional film for the event " Rimska noć (The Roman Night)" [3], which was shown at the concert of Emma Shapplin [4] held at the archaeological site Viminacium.
