St Dominic’s College, Cabra, is a privately owned, voluntary secondary school for girls located in Cabra, Dublin.[1]

History[edit]

The college was established by the Dominican Sisters in 1835. It was one of nine schools established by the Dominicans in Ireland. It is now funded in part by the Department of Education under the trusteeship of The Le Cheile Schools Trust.

Academics[edit]

The college follows the curriculum programmes set down by the Department of Education. Students take the Junior Certificate[2] and Leaving Certificate[3] exams. The Transition Year is optional.[4]

Sports[edit]

Pupils have the opportunity of participating in various sporting activities including Gaelic football, camogie, hockey, basketball, badminton, and athletics.[5]
