St. Mary's Inter College(SMIC), Etawah.[1] is a Catholic Christian Minority Educational Institution. Although run by St. Thomas Educational and Medical Society, the school admits students irrespective of caste, creed or social status. It is affiliated to the C.B.S.E.,Delhi. The school is located in Etawah City.

St. Mary's School, Etawah has been in existence since 1967. Franciscan Sisters of St. Mary of the Angels have been instrumental in getting this school started in Etawah. Late Most Rev. Dr. Dominic Athaide, the Archbishop of Agra, who visualized a school in this district, got his idea materialized through Rev. Fr. Lawerence Colaco Cap. In 1975, the school came under the Management of St. Thomas Educational and Medical Society, Etawah. The school got affiliated to C.B.S.E. in 1991 and the first batch appeared for the All India Secondary School Examination in 1992. The School got upgraded in 1993 and the St. Mary's School became St. Mary's Inter College, Etawah. Since 1975, the school is managed by the Priests of the Archdiocese of Changanachery, Kerala. The school recently celebrated its 50th year of establishment and had Golden jubilee celebration in 2017.

Description[edit]

The school promotes co-education. Today this school has over 4000 students and over 200 teaching and non-teaching staff. The school receives no Government or Private aid and fees realized from students is the only source of revenue. The School session is from April to March and has classes from Kindergarten to Intermediate. The school focuses equally on curricular and extra curricular activities. The school has good reputation in Etawah owing to its constant good results.
