Stacy Elizabeth Sanches, also known as Stacy Sanchez[1] (born September 4, 1973),[3] is an American[4] model and actress who's best known for being Playboy's Playmate of the Year for 1996.[3][1][5] She also was Playmate of the Month for March 1995.[2] In June 1996, she was chosen Playmate of the Month for the German edition of Playboy.[citation needed]
Career[edit]
Sanches was discovered by Playboy scout Ken Honey while competing in a bikini contest in Hawaii.[citation needed] She was not available to do the photo shoot at the time but eventually sent Honey a photo album after returning to Dallas.[6] After her first appearance in the magazine, she appeared in numerous Playboy videos and posed for several newsstand Special Editions. Sanches also appeared several times with her sister in videos and Special Editions.[citation needed]
Sanches had acting roles in the films On the Line and Desperate But Not Serious.
Personal life[edit]
Sanches was born in Dallas, Texas[4][2] to an Irish-American mother and Spanish-American father.[citation needed] She has one brother and one sister (model Kim Sanches), and she graduated from Lakeview Centennial High School in 1992.[citation needed] Sanches worked for a year and a half at Hooters prior to working for her father's custom pick-up truck business.[6][2]
