Star Certification

Star Certification, an US-based Certification Body, headquartered at Glendale, California. It is a vendor-neutral and open-source certification body that offers courses & certifications in Software Programming, Cyber Security, Robotics, AI and Disruptive Technologies. Spread across the world, Star Certification has certified 0.1 million students.[1] and professionals [2].

History

In September 2016, Star Certification, a certification body, was incorporated by Dr. R Kherani[3] to develop courses and certification based on open IT Technologies. The idea was to develop an IT workforce with certified knowledge and skill. A certification body issues certificates based on the assessment that verifies whether a candidate has acquired relevant knowledge and skills.

Between 2016 and 2017, Star Certification launched 43 titles on Software Programming Languages, Cyber Security, Robotics, AI and Disruptive Technologies. The National Initiative for Cybersecurity Careers & Studies (NICCS)[4], an online resource for cybersecurity training that connects Government employees, students, educators, and industry with cybersecurity training providers, has listed 27 Star Certification courses, such as Star Ethical Hacking Expert, Star Python[5], Star certified DevOps Expert, Expert Blockchain Specialist, Star Expert Security Specialist, Star Forensic investigator in Computer Hacking-007, Star Mobile Forensic and Advance Security and Star Big Data Programming. The trainings are available Online – instructor led, Online – Self paced and offline – Classroom training[6]

In 2016, Star Certification chose Academic Education & Professional Testing Centre, AEPTC, a computer-based testing platform, for conducting online certification exams. AEPTC globally conducts online exams for training institutions and Certification bodies.

Star certification has 149 partners [7] [8] [9] spread over 17 countries and issued 1,16,283 certificates.
