Stav Beger is an Israeli Music Producer, songwriter and Musician. Beger has had 2 #1 singles in israel[2] and is known internationally for Writing, Composing (alongside Doron Medalie) and Producing Israel's Eurovision 2018 winner, Toy. [3] [4]
Life and career[edit]
Beger was born in Dor, an Israeli Moshav on the northern shore of the country, in 1991. His parents are Albert Beger, an Israeli Jazz musician, and his wife Anat. At the age of 14 Stav started studying sound, synthesizing and programming. At the age of 17 he began to create Techno music, and commenced in a short yet prominent DJ career that saw him play sets in all the major clubs in israel. Upon DJ'ing he met Tom Lewis with whom he started a Live Dubstep band named "Kick The Habit' that released several tracks on international labels.[5]
in 2014 Beger decided to pursue a career of production and songwriting, and started to work with musicians. He began writing for several major artists, having success in writing, composing and producing #1 singles such as "שני משוגעים" for Omer Adam, and "הכל" for Avior Malasa.
After several local successes he was approached by Doron Medalie to partner up in writing the Israeli song for Eurovision 2018. Their song, TOY, that was written by Beger & Medalie and produced by Beger, was picked to be the song performed by netta barzilai and eventually won the contest.
