SteelEye Limited is a data analytics company headquartered in London, England.[1]

SteelEye was formed in January 2017 and currently led by Matt Smith (CEO).[2] Most of the company's founding group consists of personnel who worked together previously and devised a distinctive way of looking at data, which is encapsulated in their proprietary led to the development of their Abaci™ data storage and analytics platform as well as the creation of SteelEye.[1]

The company developed the SteelEye product in order to drive out complexity and expense in the compliance sector, and the SteelEye solution was officially launched in October 2017.[3]

In September 2017, the firm began its international expansion by establishing sales offices in Geneva and Switzerland to serve interest from Swiss firms that are keen to embrace SteelEye’s innovative approach to data and compliance.[2]

In January 2018, SteelEye set up an R&D office in Bangalore to support development velocity. Further geographic expansion is planned, in Europe, the US and in Asia.

It announced a partnership with Baringa Partners, a London based independent management consulting firm in April 2018,[4] and in May 2018 a research and development partnership with MAP Financial Technologies Limited.[5]

Products and services[edit]

SteelEye offers transaction reporting, best execution, trade reconstruction and data insight, all in one comprehensive and secure solution.[3]

In addition to the SteelEye platform, the company has built software products which provide affordable, cloud-based, open-API compliance solutions to large and small financial firms, large and small, with added bonus of as well as business insights gleaned from structured and unstructured data that is (both structured and unstructured) consolidated for regulatory purposes. Data can be stored in a geographical location of a client’s choice.[6]

  • SteelEye was named in January 2018 among the Top 20 most influential FinTech firms for 2018 by the Financial Technologist magazine in January 2018.[7]
