Stefan Ivanov (born August 4, 1954) is a Bulgarian cinematographer known worldwide. Since the mid 90s, he is living in Canada. He graduated from the National Academy for Theatre and Film Art in Sofia, Bulgaria in the class of Professor Georgi Karayordanov in 1982. One of his first films was the documentary Colors in the dark (1987), directed by Lyudmil Todorov. He is the cinematographer of 29 films, including Running Dogs, Love Summer of the Shlep, Friends of Emilia, Something in the Air, Genealogy of a Crime, and Vercingetorix. He is also the director of the movies The Jacket, A Problem With Fear, and Marion Bridge.[1] He was nonimated for a Genie award for Best Achievement in Cinematography. His highest (and lowest as of January 2019) rated movie with a Tomatometer is The Legend of Hercules (2014). His 5 other movies do not have a Tomatometer, but for Code Red, 4% liked it, for Nightmare City 2035, 13% liked it, and for The Russian Specialist (2005), 44% liked it. La route devant and Scorpius Gigantigus do not have either. [2]
