Stephen Daly is an Irish TV and radio presenter, and also part of the announcer team at Channel 4.
Early life[edit]
Daly was born in Dublin, Ireland and grew up in Lusk, County Dublin. He attended primary school in Lusk National School and secondary school in Skerries Community College.[citation needed]
Radio work[edit]
Daly started his media career with FM104, and has also worked at Q102, EastCoast FM, and iRadio.
He was part of the on air team for Jam FM at Scouting Ireland's 2008 Jamboree.[citation needed]
From 2018 to 2022 Daly hosted radio programmes on RTE Gold, and occasionally at RTE Radio 1.[1][2][not in citation given]
Daly is currently[when?] presenting on TodayFM and 98Fm.[citation needed]
Television work[edit]
Daly began his television career with UTV Ireland in 2016. He became the male continuity voice of the channel, and also presented weather bulletins at the weekend.
When UTV Ireland was acquired by TV3, Daly joined the continuity team in Ballymount,[3][not in citation given] becoming the male continuity voice of TV3, and later Virgin Media One. Daly also provided cover for weather bulletins across the TV3/Virgin Media Network. [4]
He moved to RTÉ Weather and Continuity in late 2019,[citation needed] and was working as a weather presenter as of May 2020.[5]
In May 2022, Daly joined Channel 4 as part of their continuity team.[6]
Voiceover work[edit]
Daly has been a voiceover for 20 years. During this time, he has voiced commercials for the RNLI, Vodafone, The Irish Government and Disney. Daly has also narrated several titles for Audible audiobooks, including Inishowen by Joseph O'Connor.
