Steve Cross (Singer)

Steve Cross is an American singer based in Gresham, Oregon. He is best known for singing bass as a member of the vocal group Rescue from 2008–2015. As bass, he succeeded American singer Tim Storms. His most acclaimed work is the album "Before the Throne" (2008).[1]

Style

He is known for his very gravelly timbre, and his ability to emulate instruments with his voice such as bass, guitar, and trumpet. He uses a vocal fry-mix style of singing to reach notes very low in the first octave, and has been said to have hit notes in the 0th octave as well. He has a known vocal range of C1 - E♭4.

Personal Life

Steve Cross is married to Audra Cross, and they have two children. He now owns a marketing brand based in the Pacific Northwest, Ambient.[2]
