Steve Rozenberg (born Steven Wolfe Rozenberg; February 24, 1973) is an American commercial airline pilot, entrepreneur, author, speaker, and business strategist. He is known for his work in property management, real estate investing, and business systems for contractors and service-based companies.[1][2]
Rozenberg founded Empire Industries, Unlimited Mindset LLC, and Black Box Business Solutions. His business approach is based in part on aviation-style systems, checklists, and operational procedures, which he has applied to business management, leadership, sales, and contractor operations.[2]
Early life and education
Rozenberg was born as Steven Wolfe Rozenberg on February 24, 1973, in Los Angeles, California. He was raised in a large family and has said that his upbringing helped shape his views on discipline, responsibility, and work ethic.[2]
He attended East Los Angeles College and California State University, Los Angeles while pursuing aviation training. Rozenberg later earned a Bachelor of Science degree in aviation administration from Thomas Edison State University in 1996.[3]
Aviation career
Rozenberg pursued a professional aviation career and became a pilot for Continental Airlines.[2] He has also been associated with Trans States Airlines and United Airlines.[1]
Rozenberg has cited aviation's emphasis on procedures, systems, and operational discipline as an influence on his later business philosophy.[1] After the economic impact of the September 11 attacks on the airline industry, he expanded into real estate investing and entrepreneurship.[2]
Business career
Empire Industries
Rozenberg founded Empire Industries, a residential property management and real estate investment company based in Texas. The company used standardized processes, virtual assistant support, and operational checklists as part of its management model.[1]
Empire Industries grew to manage more than 1,000 residential properties across three major metropolitan areas in Texas and was later sold to a venture capital firm.[1] Rozenberg has also been involved in the acquisition, ownership, wholesaling, and renovation of single-family homes and apartment complexes in the United States.[3]
Unlimited Mindset
Rozenberg later founded Unlimited Mindset LLC, through which he provides coaching, speaking engagements, leadership training, and educational content related to entrepreneurship, mindset development, sales, and business growth.[1]
Black Box Business Solutions
Rozenberg founded Black Box Business Solutions, a consulting and software company focused on helping contractors and trade businesses improve operations through systems, automation, and implementation support.[4]
The company developed Black Box Business CRM, a customer relationship management platform for contractors and service businesses.[5] Rozenberg has described his business philosophy as focused on operational structure, implementation, and data-driven decision-making.[6][7]
