Steven Roger Terreberry (born September 30, 1987), known professionally as Stevie T, is a Canadian YouTube personality and guitarist. He is best known for being number four on UltimateGuitar.com's "Most Hated Guitar Players of All Time" list, and being hired to tour with DragonForce for their 2019 North American tour. Terreberry had cancelled his trip to the tour due to anxiety.

Personal Life[edit]

Steven Roger Terreberry was born in Ontario, Canada on September 30, 1987. He started playing guitar at age 16, and posted his first YouTube video in January of 2008. Since then, he has amassed 1.9 million subscribers.

Shredemption[edit]

Terreberry is known for "shredeeming" guitarists who fail. He has shredeemed Lil' Wayne's Lollipop, Nick Jonas, Johnny Depp and Hollywood Vampire's Whole Lotta Love, Fred Durst, Slash's Crazy Train, Green Day's Live Performance at iHeartRadio Music Festival 2012, and more. He reacts to the fail video, makes fun of the guitarist, and then plays an epic solo over that same song. He also does this to lesser known online guitarists, such as the Angriest Guitarist in the World.

Lil' Wayne[edit]

Terreberry's best known video is "How to Play Guitar Like Lil' Wayne", in which a chain clad Terreberry shows the world the "Lil' Wayne technique" of guitar. Years later, Terreberry made a video titled "If Lil' Wayne Played Guitar For...", in which he plays Lil' Wayne's style to songs by bands such as Avenged Sevenfold, Metallica, Periphery, and others. Most recently, Terreberry uploaded a video in which he makes fun of the Blink-182 and Lil' Wayne 2019 North American Tour; After which, YouTube informed him that the video was "offensive". Terreberry did not take that well.

Gear[edit]

Terreberry usually is seen using various models of Kiesel guitars, such as a blue and gray one named Marlene. He also uses various Ernie Ball Music Man guitars, such as a 6 and 7 string Majesty and a Stingray guitar and bass. He is best known for his 20 string "Djentar" that he recieved from 10S custom guitars. For Amplificatiion, he uses a Micro Cube.

Influences[edit]

Terreberry has stated that he is a huge fan of Metallica, and created a video called "If Kirk Hammett Played Guitar For...", in which he dresses up as Kirk Hammett and plays "Kirk Hammett style solos" over other songs. Other influences include David Gilmoure of Pink Floyd, whose solo for Comfortably Numb is Terreberry's "all time favorite solo"; Slash of Guns N Roses, about whom he said, "I wouldn't be the guitarist I am today without Slash."; Angus Young of AC/DC; and Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day.
