Stop Pneumonia initiative
Stop Pneumonia is an initiative launched with the purpose to assist communities who suffer from the consequences of pneumonia and who lack access to lifesaving interventions.[1] The initiative highlights the importance of water, sanitation and hygiene, also promoting other ways to help prevent pneumonia.[2]
World Pneumonia Day
In 2009 Stop Pneumonia established the World Pneumonia Day, which is marked every year on 12 November. The observance was created to raise awareness about the toll of pneumonia and to advocate for global action to protect against, help prevent and effectively treat this illness.[1][3]
