StorageCraft Technology Corporation is a software company of business continuity solutions, including data protection and disaster recovery systems for business computing.

StorageCraft was founded as a start-up in 2003 by Scott Barnes, Curt James, James Kirby, Brandon Nordquist, Thomas R. Shreeve, and Thomas J. Shreeve.[1]

The equity firm TA Associates invested $187 million in the company in early 2016 and hired Matt Medeiros as the new CEO.[2][3][4]

In September 2016 StorageCraft acquired Gillware Data Services, a company that developed intelligent recovery and data access solutions, for an undisclosed amount.[5]

In January 2017 StorageCraft expanded into hardware products, acquiring data management company Exablox, Inc.[6][7]

In 2018 they launched ShadowXafe - a data protection and backup software,[8][9] OneXafe - a converged scale-out storage and data protection platform for both physical and virtual environments [8][10][11][12] and StorageCraft object storage package for schools.[13][14]

The company is headquartered in Draper, Utah, U.S.A., with offices in Sunnyvale, California, as well as Ireland and Australia.

Products[edit]

StorageCraft provides hardware and software products and services that assist in recovering and protecting files, servers, and virtual environments during and after failure. Its suite of applications are local and cloud-based, and include SaaS and other cloud solutions.[15][16]

The company is also the manufacturer of a backup and system-restore program ShadowProtect. [17][18][9]
