Sts. Cyril and Methodius Serbian Orthodox Church in Guelph, Ontario is part of the Serbian Orthodox Eparchy of Canada under the jurisdiction of Bishop Mitrofan (Kodić). Guelph is the third Serbian parish in the Cambridge-Kitchener-Waterloo-Guelph region[1].

History[edit]

In the late 2000s several Serbian families got together to form a Serbian Orthodox presence in in the growing city of Guelph. Sts. Cyril and Methodius Serbian Orhtodox Church started as an Eastern Orthodox Christian Mission in 2014 in Guelph. With the help of the women's auxilliary called Kolo srpskih sestara or Circle of Serbian Sisters, Divine Liturgy was initially served every second Sunday by a newly-ordianed priest Jovan B. Marjanac until 2022 when Father Aleksandar Mitrović was appointed as parish administrator.[2]

In 2013 the Building Committee purchased an existing property at 115 York Road in Guelph to serve the religious and cultural needs of the newly-formed Serbian Orthodox Church-School Congregation of Guelph.
