Stuart Tower is a 15-storey residential tower in Maida Vale, West London. The tower was famous for the occurrence of some mysterious crimes, the most famous of which was the incident of the Egyptian actress Soad Hosny falling from the sixth floor on June 21, 2001, as well as the incident of Lieutenant General Laithi Nassef, founder of the Egyptian Republican Guard, who died on August 24, 1973, after he fell in a strange way from the balcony of his apartment. On the eleventh floor, it was also inhabited by businessman Ashraf Marwan, the Egyptian national hero, who fell from his balcony in 2007 despite suspicions that he was assassinated.[1] The playwright Alfred Farag also lived in the same tower until his death in 2005[2].
