Studies in Communication and Media (SCM) is a peer-reviewed open access academic journal of the German Communication Association (DGPuK).
The journal was founded in 2012 and publishes papers four times a year. It seeks to publish new research results in the field of media and communication science, gives a general overview of the international state of research and create a forum for interdisciplinary discussions. [1]
The journal is issued in pdf-format and enables to download multimedia content, e.g. movies or audio files.[2] Papers both in English and German languages are accepted (German contributions are accompanied by an extended, quotable abstract in English).[3]
Studies in Communication and Media is an affiliate journal of the International Communication Association (ICA).[4] Its indexed in Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI)[5],ERIH Plus, DOAJ and included in ProQuest ExLibris Primo Index.
