Stuttering Society is an interactive platform that also works as a social network for people who stutter. Its mission is to connect and help people who stutter in different aspects of their lives, and to raise awareness about fluency disorders. Stuttering Society is the very first social media platform for people who stutter, allowing its members to connect with one another through different features. After registering and creating a profile, users have access to all interactive tools, can get professional advice from experts, join the community groups, participate in forums, add other members as friends, send private messages, share their stories dealing with stuttering, create blog articles and much more.
Stuttering Society is founded and directed by Raiani Sibien, who herself grew up with a speech block. She wanted to create a platform that could help others dealing with communication disorders while raising awareness about the topic and increasing the visibility of stuttering in public life.
The website is available in three languages: English, Portuguese and French.
