Stygimoloch
Stygimoloch is a medium sized pachycephalosaurid dinosaur that lived 83.5 million years ago - 66 million years ago. Its name means demon of the river Styx due to its spiky head and first being discovered in the Hell Creek formation. It is identified by the fact it has a slightly flatter head than other pachycephlosaurs and the row of spikes on the back of its head. The species is known only from juvenile specimens found in Montana and Wyoming it is estimated to be between 10 and 15 feet. Some believe it to be a juvenile specimen of pachycephalosaurus but this is likely false. It was likely omnivorous, eating plants, fruits, and insects. It lived along side the pterosaur quetzalcoatlus pachycephlosaurs pachycephalosaurus and dracorex, the ceratopsids triceratops and torosaurus, the hadrosaurs edmontosaurus, hypacrosaurus, corythosaurus, and parasaurolophus, the ankylosaur ankylosaurus, the nodosaur edmontonia, the dromaeosaur troodon, the ornithomimud struthiomimus the tyrannosaurs tyrannosaurus and nanotyrannus and many avians. It, as well as all other non-avian dinosaurs went extinct at the end of the cretaceous.
It has appeared in the movies Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom and Dinosaur.
