Suchao Pongwilai (Thai: สุเชาว์ พงษ์วิไล) is a Thail actor, known for Borommarachathirat IV (No Phutthangkun) in The Legend of Suriyothai (2001), Komtuan in Ong-Bak: Muay Thai Warrior (2003), Dr. Siam in Deathwave (2009) etc. He has often played villains or supporting characters in many movies and TV series.
Biography[edit]
Pongwilai was born in Lopburi province, 153 km (95.1 mi) north of Bangkok. He is a classmate with father of Patiparn "Moss" Pataweekarn. He entered the showbiz in his early thirties in 1975 from acting in a stage play of Thammasat University which was also broadcast on Channel 5.
Then he was invited by a famous director to star in a TV series on Channel 3, where he began his career as a full-time actor. Prior he worked at the Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA).[1]
He had been married and had two daughters. After breaking up with his wife, he was the custodian of their two daughters. Nowadays, Pongwilai has been living alone for over 40 years.[1]
