The Sue Ryder Foundation is an Irish charity based in Ireland providing accomodation support for elderly people in Ireland.[1]

The Sue Ryder Foundation in Ireland was founded in 1982 by Lady Sue Ryder and Charles McDonald, former Irish TD, Senator and MEP. The organisation is completely independent from the British based organisation or The Lady Ryder of Warsaw Memorial Trust but is one of several organisations supporting Sue Ryder's mission across Europe and Africa. Other organisations can are in Poland, Czech Republic, Italy and Malawi.

Started in Ballyroan, County Laois with its first scheme the Foundation has developed six schemes around the country supporting over 300 residents through a network of over thirty charity shops across Ireland.[2] Current schemes are in Dalkey,[3] Ballyroan, Kilminchy, Nenagh, Holycross, and Carlow.

The Sue Ryder Foundation Ireland is also a member of the Irish Council for Social Housing.[4]
