Sughra Shafi Medical Hospital Complex (SSMC) originally opened in 2003 as a general health-care hospital. The hospital was the first project for SAHARA for Life Trust, a non-profit charitable organisation founded by Abrar-ul-Haq on June 15, 1998.[1][2] The Trust is recognised and registered as a leading charitable organisation in Pakistan, U.K & U.S.A. It is also certified by the Pakistan Center for Philanthropy (PCP) and U.N (under the charter of DESA). The hospital provides state-of-the-art healthcare facilities to over 4.5 million people in Narowal and its surrounding areas.

Location

SSMC Hospital is located at 4V82+HW Narowal - Narowal District on Muridike Road, Narowal, Punjab, Pakistan. The complex is situated on a land of approximately fifty-five acres about 25 kilometres (15 miles) from the Pakistan-India border, Kartarpur Corridor. The Head Office is located at G9F7+7P Lahore - 50 Bridge Colony, Lahore Cantt, Pakistan.

History

Sughra Shafi Medical Complex, a certified General Hospital, opened on July 28, 2003 as a 120-bed hospital and grew into a 200-bed hospital with an outpatient department. The hospital continued to grow into a 350-bed facility and in 2018 expanded to a 600-bed facility.
