Suissenégoce

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

SUISSENÉGOCE, formerly known as Swiss Trading and Shipping Association (STSA), is the association of Swiss commodity trading companies and maritime transport companies.[1][2] The association represents the interests of its members in business, politics and the public and is involved in further education from vocational training to university teaching.[3]

The association lobbies at both Swiss and international level. For example in 2023, SUISSENÉGOCE took part in working meetings between Swiss and US authorities in order to represent the Swiss trading industry,[4] and formally joined the Swiss delegation to the IMO in the negotiations for clear, binding and non-reversible regulation of decarbonisation in shipping.[5]

Structure and members[edit]

SUISSENÉGOCE has around 200 members, including some of the world's largest trading companies such as Mercuria Energy Group, Vitol, Trafigura,[6] and the agricultural commodity traders ADM (company), Bunge Limited, Cargill, and Louis Dreyfus Company.
