Suleiman Alaqel (Arabic: سليمان العقل; born 30 December 1985) is a Saudi curler and sports administrator. He competed for Saudi Arabia in men's curling at the 2025 Asian Winter Games in Harbin, China, as part of the kingdom’s debut at the event.[1][2] He has also been listed as secretary of the Saudi Winter Sports Federation’s curling program by the World Curling Federation.[3]
Alaqel has represented Saudi Arabia internationally in mixed doubles and men's curling since 2019. He and Karrie Alaqel entered the 2019 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship and subsequent qualification events,[4][5] while he later joined the Saudi men’s team for the Pacific-Asia Curling Championships and the Pan Continental Curling Championships.[6]
During Harbin 2025, Alaqel was quoted by international media discussing Saudi Arabia’s first appearance at the Asian Winter Games.[7]
