From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

"Summer Sucks" is the eighth episode of the second season of the American animated television series South Park. The 20th episode of the series overall, it originally aired on Comedy Central in the United States on June 24, 1998. The episode was written by series co-creator Trey Parker, along with Nancy M. Pimental, and directed by Parker. In this episode, Cartman builds a miniature golf course, and it becomes successful, until the FBI finds out about all the flaws in Cartman's course. After this, the FBI threatens to shut it down.

Plot[edit]

When Cartman's mother commands him to go outside to get fresh air, Cartman decides to go to Stan's house. However, Stan makes up a lie, telling Cartman that his parents banned him from seeing him ever again; Kyle says the same thing when he goes up to Kyle's house. As a result, Cartman goes back inside to play video games, but when his mother catches him, he is sent outside again.

Cartman gets the idea to open up a golf course after getting inspired by a billboard depicting a man playing golf. He begins speculating that his friends are at the golf course when he goes to each of their houses and their parents say they're at the golf course that Cartman built. When Cartman confronts Kyle, Stan, and Kenny, they burst into tears and tell Cartman they're sorry. After he accepts their apology, they play golf on the other side of the golf course.

The FBI begins to become suspicious when three FBI officers visit the course to get doughnuts from the Doughnut Stand at the course. FBI agents then arrest Cartman when it turns out that the golf course was illegally invested in $10,000 by Cartman. Since he is a child, it is illegal for Cartman to invest in anything less than $10. The man who previously owned the golf course (named Travis) is also arrested with Cartman and both are sent to jail.

Cartman's money is soon confiscated by Secret Service agents, who report Cartman on FBI's Most Wanted List. While in court, the judge sentences Cartman to eighteen years in prison while Travis is sentenced to forty years. Kyle, Stan, and Kenny are soon arrested and each are sentenced to twenty-five years in prison. Cartman, Kyle, Stan, and Kenny are bailed out for $250,000 each, adding up to a total of $1 million.

After they are bailed, Cartman sells the golf course to Mr. Slave for $74 million.
