Summerfall Studios is a video game development company based in Melbourne, Australia. Co-founded in 2017 by ex-BioWare lead writer David Gaider, Obsidian Entertainment alum Liam Esler, and former music publicist Elie Young, the studio focuses on developing narrative-led, character-driven video games.[1][2][3].
History
After his departure from BioWare and a two-year stint at Beamdog[4], David Gaider co-founded Summerfall Studios with Liam Esler and Elie Young in 2017[5]. The studio ran a successful crowdfunding campaign on Fig in November 2019[6] for their first game Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical, which was then titled Chorus: An Adventure Musical[7]
Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical is billed as a single-player interactive musical with branching song choices that lead to different endings[8]. It is published by Humble Games, as revealed in a teaser video during the Humble Games Showcase in March 2022[9][10]. The game will be available on PC, with its release date still unknown.
