Sumnima-Paruhang (Nepali: सुम्निमा पारुहाङ) is the divine couple in Kirat mythology, revered as the supreme ancestral deities and the creators of humankind by the indigenous Kirati people of Nepal and Northeast India.[1] They are believed to be the union of the masculine and feminine forms of nature, with Sumnima representing Mother Earth and Paruhang being the Sky God.[2][3][4]

The couple is worshipped through nature, ancestral worship, and a communal dance called Sakela. They are central figures of major Kirat festivals like Ubhauli and Udhauli.[5][6]
