Park Sung-jin (born January 16, 1993).[1] He is the leader, rhythm guitarist, vocalist and composer of South Korea band called Day6 under JYP Entertainment
Early life[edit]
He was born in Busan, South Korea. He has joined so many singing competitions since the young ages. Then, he signed under JYP Entertainment.
Career[edit]
He trained every lessons like the others but he didn't good at dancing. So, their company's development team decided to form a band because they didn't want to abandon his unique voice.[2][3] So, he was a part of the upcoming acoustic band called 5live.
In 2014, he appeared in the program WIN: Who is Next? (which JYP Entertainment's trainees competing with YG Entertainment's trainees)[4] as a part of JYP's vocalist team with his fellow Day6 members Jae, Young K, Wonpil and the ex-member Junhyeok.
In the same year, the debuting of 5live was cancelled because their company want to launched a rock band instead. At the time, Sungjin must to changed his instrument from Cajón (that he had played for 2-3 years) to guitar.
In 2015, after the recruited the new drummer, Dowoon joined the band. Finally, he debuted as a leader, guitarist and vocalist of Day6
In 2017, he appeared on episode 412 of the singing program Duet Song Festival[5][6] with Shin Hyo-beom, covering the latter's song I Love You (난 널 사랑해). He returned to the show in episode 828 with Shin and covered Kim Dong-wook's song called For Her (그녈 위해).
